What's the worst part about your job?
Um...I guess that I don't have one! But that's kinda the best part too. Ha!

Remember how, oh, almost two years ago I told you I was back? Ha! Sucker! You completely bought it. OK, I believed it too, but then I forgot again.
So here's what's up with me. I'm still in San Francisco and loving it more than ever. I could stay here forevs. So far at least. I'm dating a really awesome dude and he's everything I want in a love (except he bites his nails, but since I do too, I have to cancel that one out). I got a job at an awesome social networking site, but it went under due to this crap-ass economy so I've been on unemployment for about six months. I'm a freelance writer, working for clients like SOAPnet, Interevco and Razorfish to name a few.
I'm hoping to secure another writing or editing job, or even a gig, so keep your ears out for me! It IS a little fun to live paycheck to paycheck though. Like my own personal adventure, ya know?

Well, we certainly had a laborious 3 day weekend. A bulldozer, backhoe and 3 guys plus Bill and I. Big fire burning off cut down trees, brush, etc. that burned for 2 solid days, then knocked down an old building, cleaned up some trash. truly looks beautiful now. But hot, hot, hot and dirty work. I rode the ATV and did fire watch for Sat. and Sun. in between trying to clean out "my" crafting room. I am trying to create a space for a bed in there for guests. HAH! I think it is impossible. I think we are going to have to go with the sofa bed. I had the worst night's sleep ever, I am so tired and sore. Had to stop at Starbucks and get a venti Pumpkin Spice Frappucino with an extra shot! Hopefully, I will wake up. Oh yes, and of course it has been migraine week last week, so Saturday and Sunday outside in the heat with a migraine was truly fun. It was peaceful if I could find some shade and lay on the ATV, till the grass started burning outside the fire pit and I would have to wade in and stop it. I reeked of smoke for 2 days. And I did take a shower everynight Loyd!!! LOL
Just forgot about my dear little friend Vox. I shall write more later. Not on company time. Cause I'm awesome like that.
This brought part of the rain we had last week. That is a solid wall of clouds with a fluffy topping. Lots of very fluffy clouds here. Lots of clouds here, and they are so beautiful. I must have a hundred pictures of just the clouds. I need to get them posted to my flickr.com site, well, maybe not all of them.

Monday. Just kidding - Saturday. Of course!
They literally are! Is that like when your nose itches because people
are thinking of you or whatever? No? Just a sign that I'm losing my
hearing? Wonderful. I'm going to tell the universe that I want my ears
to stop and hopefully it will come back to me.
It's pretty safe to say that I've failed at blogging. It's been months but I'm going to try to get back into it. I think I can do it if I put my mind to it.
So much has happened. Let's list it!
1. Went to Thailand. Jan 8 to the 26th or so. Amazing. Amazing people, amazing culture, amazing food. My sister wants to move back after spending 4 months, so maybe I'll get to visit again soon.
2. Success! Found a job. Working for a great, fun company in San Francisco. I get to write and edit, and hopefully throw some design into the mix too. I'm really excited about the people I get to work with and this whole new "working environment." Totally beats working at home. I never thought I'd say that. But.....I said it.
3. Did someone say Modesto? I feel like I'm back there. We've got a "motown-style party" happening next door at this very moment. Why am I not out, you ask? I know, It's friday night but sadly, I've never been so poor in my life.
4. I'm learning French....again.
5. Does anyone know where to find "How to Have a Beautiful Mind" by "Edward de Bono"? I've become obsessed with owning this book and I only have about 2 days to do so.
6. I've lived in SF for 1/2 a year already! How nuts is that?! My love of this city isn't losing momentum at all....
